Sunday Worship: 10AM

The Bible teaches that all believers are "full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another" (Romans 15:14).

Many Christians feel ill-equipped, however, or unprepared to minister to others. Training at AGC is designed to help you understand how to minister to people that struggle, and to assist you in gaining the knowledge and skills needed for effective One-Another ministry. It is also designed to move you past your insecurities about your ability to minister God's Word to others by training you in basic principles of mentoring and discipleship while giving a thorough introduction to Biblical Counseling principles so that you can help others to biblically navigate their life struggles.

Ministry to people involves both helping them overcome their sin and helping them grow to be more like Christ through the trials and suffering that they face. Genuine change is change that occurs on the inside. Thus, we spend a lot of time talking about the heart and not just behavior modification. We also discuss the most common issues that people struggle with, common medical issues, and how to help others understand and process their thoughts, emotions, behaviors in order to help them move towards more Christ-like thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Training is currently available for women, but we are hoping to provide training for men soon.

It is open to members and attenders of AGC as well as members of the community.
